Zumba Classes

Do you remember this photo? She was one of the first to contact me here for photography (I was still living in Okinawa).  Anyways she was fun and and had tons of energy.  Well she is now teaching Zumba and here is a quick 411 on it.

Question: How long have you been doing Zumba?
Answer: I have doing Zumba since 2006 but I became certified March 21, 2010

Question: Why did you Start?
Answer: I started teaching Zumba because I love to dance it was never about losing the weight. For me it's about showing people
how to have fun and building good self-esteem. Forget about the size and just have fun. I started because I wanted show people to get pass the
stigma of their size and just get moving into a better lifestyle and have fun doing it.

Question: Have you noticed a Change in your figure?
Answer:Yes, It has been a wonderful transformation. I'm very comfortable in my own skin and I guess I have always been and never knew it.
I have lost weight without really trying . I'm not ashamed to say I was a size 14 and now I'm a size 10-12 and feeling good about it. I have also
a new mind set through all this I have learned to love myself no matter what size I am, because we all have "True Beauty" no matter what size we
are.

Question: What do you love most about it?
Answer: I love the energy of the people, I love the laughs of the people and the smiles of the Japanese when I make a funny face.
I love the thumbs up when I ask "How are we doing people" after a routine but what I love the most is when I get a person that comes to me
after class and says: "Thank you for a good time in class today". That's cool beans

Question: When is Zumba?
Answer: Well, the times of Zumba is as followed: Tuesday at 10:45am and again at 5:30pm. Wednesday at 11:45am , Friday at 11:45 and again
at 2:45. Saturday at 3pm to 4. (My classes are every other Wednesday and EVERY Friday) smile

Question: What do I need to Bring?
Answer: Bring Water, a towel (we sweat) if wish to bring a hat or a Belly Dance skirt that would be neat. Bring you and a Smile.

Question: Do I have to know how to dance?
Answer: No, I have seen people that has never taken a dance class or been to a club and they do really well in Zumba
the thing is to stay with it! Don't stop even if you feel lost I'm here to help anyway I can.

Question: Do you use a microphone in Zumba
Answer: No, it's all about watching the instructor it's like watching yourself in a mirror. Now, Zumba does have other classes
that use voice commands. I'm certified in those classes and so at time in my class use my voice.

Question: Does Zumba use Strength Training?
Answer: YES, I use weights and the medicine balls to work out our arms and back. If you don't think it's a work out just
come to my class (lol)

(not my photo).

Anyone want to join me for a Zumba class or laugh at me??
