Here is my feeling about Japanese Diapers... I LOVE them for babies and smaller toddlers. Just recently thought I have decided to stop buying them for my two year old because he is a beast. He doesn't just poop, he explodes. I will however buy them for my three year old who just needs them at night.
Why I love them... they have a nice smell. I didn't notice but luvs has a very strong smell until I started using these. Pampers is much stronger. They seem softer and less bulky. Both boys have never gotten a diaper rash with them. I am a fan... just not for my little guy who really needs to start using the potty.
