Christmas Time

The Elf browsing the internet looking at scooters.  I wonder if he has plans on telling the fat man, that three kids in the Lowry home want these?  He also went on a hot date and was dangling from a light.  Those pictures are on another card and I may or may not post later.

I hosted a gingerbread party that actually went pretty well.   My kids made a haunted gingerbread house... and it was so scary.  Later it went through and earthquake and tumbled to the ground.

This is what we had for breakfast this morning!! Nothing like bacon and marshmallows to get your day going right!

Our Christmas photo... next to impossible to get.  Two kids who are not used to the camera and three who hate it.  I am pretty pleased all things considered... Sky looked like death in every other one.  I showed him and he was like I promise to smile next time even though I hate smiling.  Thanks little dude I said, I just can't hang death on my wall.

Day Out

Today we took the newest monsters out for the day... so they could experience a day with us.  Matthew and I have a few goals when it comes to parenting, but in the end it is simple.  We want our kids to say this is the "best day ever!" Happy childhood in my mind has to equal a happy adult... right? Okay, I may be delusional but if my kids have a happy childhood, then they can't blame me for problems later.  Now the best day ever just means fun times.. on this day we spent 1300 yen.  About 15 bucks.  The girls made  a whole loaf of bread worth of PB&J.  I can't believe the jump in cost for food with two added additions... they eat allot.  I want to feed them allot.  Tonight I gave Skyler my chicken... I need to fatten him up.  He'd be cuter with some gerbil cheeks.  In fact I kinda think he and Kennon look alike.

This is the park we went to.  It is not to far away and I need to post directions and coordinates later.  Super fun park.  You can rent the sled things, balls, jump ropes, and do put put.  We chose to let the kids play put put.  Our kids have done it before, the other two didn't know what it was.  Skyler really liked it and may become Matthew's newest golf buddy.

I have some picture ideas for her and THANK goodness, she wants to do it!  My Bray will have to come, I think she is starting to get a little jealous.  Daddy and Chianne have been best buds.  Poor Matthew though, right now he is being pulled in five directions.  Things are tough for me too, but you have to feel for the poor guy ;)

Needless to say.. Jack said "Mommy!!! This was the bestest day ever!!!" and Chianne said yes it was so much fun!!  Goal complete!

Pooper

So apparently our elf has issues with poop. Actually the fact that the elf has issues with poop is perfect for our family.  In fact when they noticed that the elf actually pooped, they hit the deck with laughter.  Who knew the elf pooped.  Well news flash....Fred poops!

You know what.. if poop equals happy childhood memories.  I will take it!!

Snowman Poop

One thing we have every year is snowman poop and this year Fred brought it to us.  Normally I would say don't eat poop, but snowman poop is delish.

I guess Kennon had an a reaction to the snowman poop.  Because he went mental after eating it.

Skyler... one of the newest monsters.  I can see he will fit in just fine as he likes everything the boys like. I think he needs to eat more snowman poop... he is so stinkin skinny!!!

Knock It OFF!!

I think after being trampled yesterday, Fred needed to remind some little guys of why he came in the first  place.  I also think it is pretty clear our elf has an attitude problem!

FYI: Clearly our elf not smarter than a fifth grader... no spell check for the chalk board!

Fred Greenman

So the next few days I am almost 100% no elf postings.  My husband is in Tokyo as we speak gathering his two other kids.  So for the remainder of our stay in Iwakuni, they will also be with us.  I can only imagine how having the five kids will be... I am both super excited, and really freaked.  This could go any number of ways.  So I have decided it will be the worst experience of my life, therefore the WORST thing that could happen is that it is GREAT and no disappointments. Also by having this totally negative attitude. I can only be happy because there is no way these kids could meet at the dreary expectations that I have in my head.  So in the end... it is all good.  Well... besides the fact that you know I have no grammar skills and I am completely mental.  Well anyone who knows me, knows I am in fact mental.

Back to the Elf!! So I actually had plans to go all out for this day, but my stinking children didn't put there toys away and I couldn't find anything.  So this was easy. We also named him Fred Greenman.  Bray wanted Fred (from the book), Jack wanted Batman, and Ken wanted Green.  Matthew and I then mashed the three into Fred Greenman and the kids LOVED it. Whoa... lucky break there.

So a friend of mine sent me the link below.  I loved it because she says everything that I thought.  In the end I do love the elf mainly for the smile above.  I think one or two days I will go all out but all in all they will be like the one above.  It is only fun for the kids if it is fun for the Mommy.  Currently the elf is all the set up and I will take photos tomorrow.

Another friend of mine said after reading the article she was sure she didn't want to do it.  This was basically my response.

I don't know... I really like it. The kids are actually a little afraid of him. Bray is convienced he is possessed she just doesn't know how to say it right. jack walks far around him and Kennon is dying to touch him... so today he pounced over him and clobbered him... I tripped mommy he said. Yeah right douch you just had to touch him!!! Anywho great way to freak your kids out in a positive way!!! Today I am just putting him on the Tv. Lazy day!!!

Today he actually is not on the TV.  I came up with something better.

The Elf Has Landed

This year the Elf has picked up on some naughty behavior in the Lowry house and has been sent to monitor said behavior.  Here is his grand entrance through the fairy door.  I think two of the three Lowry kids are in the clear, but one little guy might be in trouble.

We will see how it goes for little Kennon Matthew Lowry!

Santa and Vomit

I was getting the monster's ready for Santa, when Ken held up the Santa beard.  We have it in the play clothes and then he said "Me dress as Santa!" and I said when you see him?  Yes, he said.  Anywho long story short the photo below is my three year old, and he rocked it.  I will cherish this forever because I always say he is my silly guy and he is..... and this is proof!

so then I take all the stuff off of him and try to get one with all three.  TRY!  Every year someone bails, I mean who wouldn't.  You are making your children sit on some strange guy's lap right.  Every other day of the year you would tell them not to do that.

So I get Jack and he is good.  Then I go to get Braylen............she looks SICK! She never throws up, this is not happening.  It is and it does.  She proceeds to throw up and throw up.  What do I do, what any good mother would do and catch it.  You know that catching the throw up instead of letting it hit the floor is so much better.

Above... before telling Jack to try not and look like his sister just up chucked everywhere.  Below... after.  Yes, I took this photo with a very sick little girl and vomit on my hand.  Oh yeah... I should probably Lysol my camera.

Anywho.. to all that was there.  Thank you for helping and not making my baby girl feel bad.  If you look at it in the bright side... You all got Santa and a Show!

Needless to say.... Bray is out this year.  I think she doesn't want to try again and that is perfectly fine.

One more thing to the Santa Helpers.. ask the kids what they want for Christmas!! Isn't that the whole point for the kids to ask what they want.  I know there is a really big line, but the photo is just as cute when they are talking to the fat man.

Notice.. Kennon is missing!!

Squishy

She was such a sport.  She was wearing flip flops and these were rotting all over the ground.  She stuck it out for me even though she was freaking out.  When we got to the car we almost got sick, the smell coming from her toes was awful.  Straight to the bath she went!

Pain in the Duppa!

Jack is so sweet and he just turned five.  He is all things middle child and today he made me crazy.  I love you little man and tomorrow will be better. I hope for both of us.
